Purchased new CR-V 2015, vibrates terrible. Dealership put in chip and vibration is better at lower speed. However, over 70 mph vibration is rediculous. Had tires balance and rotated, nothing works. Told me to drive another 3 months and if still vibrating, bring it back.

Purchased car before retirement so I went all out and bought top of the line. I'm so very disappointed in my car and extremely disappointed in Honda. I expected better from Honda. I've been driving Honda for 20 years and never disappointed until now. Now I will not be able to enjoy my retirement and be broke trying to pay for it. I'm devastated!!! I finally step out of my financial comfort zone and have to drive a car to remind me how stupid I was. VERY, VERY, VERY disappointed in myself and HONDA!!!!!

A ridicules vibration at idle and highway speeds. Miller Honda tried a new software update but no solution. They advise Honda will call when they find a way to correct the problem. After seven months it's obvious they can't fix it. And they are still selling these things. Can't believe it.

Our vibration began within a week and while it hasn't gotten worse, it is quite annoying. It's only when it's in a gear, not park or neutral.

Update from Feb 12, 2019: Our CR-V vibrates and idles extremely slow when I've come to a complete stop. Such as sitting with it in Drive or Reverse. I've complained several times and SAM SWOPE HONDA WORLD has NEVER acknowledged it as a problem. The last time I had a service technician ride with me for another issue with the transmission (it occasionally revs up to 3000 RPM's, when it refuses to shift into next higher gear! I can be coasting at 35 mph. when this happens!) I asked him about the vibration and he said it just does it because they slowed down the transmission to give it better gas mileage!! He lied to me! Thank you for letting me know that they've finally acknowledged this problem!

THE VIBRATION HAPPENS AT 600 RPM. A HONDA TECH TOLD ME THE IDLE SPEED FOR MY CAR WAS 800 RPM .WHEN I COME TO A STOP THE CAR IDLES AROUND 850 RPM ABOUT 10 SECONDS LATER THE VEHICLE SHAKES MORE THAN IT SHOULD, AND ONCE YOU NOTICE IT IT HAUNTS YOU EVERY TIME YOU DRIVE IT .JUST BECAUSE I DON'T GET SICK DOESN'T MEAN I SHOULD BE HAPPY WITH A BRAND NEW CAR THAT VIBRATES SO MUCH THAT YOU DON'T REALLY WANT TO DRIVE IT,BUT IT'S YOU ONLY CAR .I HOPE THEY RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM SOON ,I AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN HONDA FOR DISMISSING ANY CLAIMS ABOUT THE VIBRATION SAYING IT'S NOT A SAFETY CONCERN .

vibrations

I BOUGHT 2015 HONDA CR-V EX JUST 4 WEEK AGO, IT HAS A HUGE VIBRATION THAT YOU CAN FEEL AND SEE INSIDE THE VEHICLE ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS STOP AND IN IDLE MODE OR DRIVE SHIFT. VIBRATION CAN FEEL IN THE SEATING, STEERING WHEEL, SIDE DOORS, BRAKE AND GAS PEDALS, SHIFT KNOB AND EVEN THE BACK PASSAGER SEAT. I BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR MY FAMILY TO ENJOY THEIR DAILY RIDES BUT THEIR NOT, AND KEEP ASKING ME WHY HAS IT. PSYCHOLOGICALLY AND EMOTIONALLY MY DRIVING CONCENTRATION ARE ALWAYS AFFECTED, AND THAT IS UNSAFE FOR OUR EVERYDAY DRIVING AND TO ANYONE WHO HAS THIS ISSUE. I ALWAYS FEEL SICK EVERY TIMES I GET OUT OF THIS CAR, I FEEL MY HAND LIKE I USE A JACK HAMMER AFTER A WHILE. DEALER'S SERVICE DEPT. CONFIRMED TO ME THAT THERE ARE THREE ISSUES THAT CAUSE THE VIBRATION AND THERE IS NO FIX YET ABOUT THE ISSUE. I LOVE HONDA EVERSINCE, IT MY FAVORITE BRAND. I HOPE THEY CAN DO SOMETHING TO FIX IT FAST BEFORE ANYONE CAN GET HURT.

Update from Oct 30, 2015: In addition to this 2015 Honda CR-V, It's feel that the Steering Wheel has variation of Hard or Heavy to turn at low speed, But sometimes it's kind of easy. What's going on in this Car?

At age 51 decided it was time to purchase a NEW vehicle. I went with a Honda CRV EX L September 1, 2015. MISTAKE! Car vibrates, shudders and feels as if it will shut off when stopped at a stoplight or traffic. Interstate Travel around 65 - 75 miles per hour feels as if it is coming apart. I have called American Honda, twice with out resoultion. First call, Honda rep stated Honda company is aware of problem and I needed to take it back to dealership for mechanic to confirm my issue. I did just that and the mechanic and I took a test drive and within minutes he was able to confirm problem. He even stated Honda has known about this problem/defect for over a year!!! He checked my vehicle and updated my CRV with software to solve vibration problem # 3 (per Honda's official video addressing/acknowledging 3 issues). Did not notice any change with vibration and idle. So, I called again. The rep I spoke with this time had no record of my first call, which was also concerning, She listened took my information ie VIN # etc and was given a case number and stated a case manager would be in touch in the next 2 or 3 days. The case manager called last night, very nice, however had no resolution for me and the vibration is a characteristic of the car. This characteristic should have been disclosed to me upon my contemplation of purchasing vehicle. This "characteristic" should have been disclosed just as other characteristics are disclosed (power seats, lumbar support etc). I have driven my "old" car for 16 years and racked up 337,000 miles and it does not vibrate now as old as it is! As I see it, the options (not offered) I have are:1) drive and deal and be pissed everytime I drive with it hoping a fix is forthcoming 2) trade it and lose several thousand dollars (paid $30,000, offered $24,000 from Honda dealer I purchased vehicle from). Did I mention I will be making my SECOND CAR PAYMENT. HONDA NEEDS TO MAN UP AND MAKE THIS RIGHT!!! Very disappointed, definitely not the new car experience I had imagined.

Bought the CRV LX 2015 in July, within one week observed vibration whenever stop the vehicle on Drive mode. if your AC is on the problem is less so that's why it took some time to find the problem . if your ac is not on its horrible, you need to have ac or headlight all the time, still Honda says working on it , not sure if they can give fix or just live with it because you paid already?

There are several levels of vibration: at idle, at city speeds, at highway speeds. Honda states that a computer update is available for high speed idling. This was done. There is some improvement. However, Honda states that it cannot adjust the other levels of vibration because this involves a violation of EPA rules. This is a 2015 modal, a car that has been on sale for more than a year. How is it that this has not been addressed? How is it that a new car was delivered to me without the software correction for the high speed vibration?

Transmission and steering problems!!! I believe this car is a lemon!!!

Update from Oct 28, 2015: Honda states that the transmission problem can be corrected with a software update. Apparently 3 software updates are needed one for each speed at which the vibration occurs: idle; 20-30; 50-60. The dealer states that the software update for 50-60 is available but that the other 2 updates are not available ...possibly EPA will not permit!!! The only other note I can add is that the vibration occurs with acceleration. Do you have any information regarding this problem?

I bought 2015 Honda CR-V EX. It vibrates all the time. Vibration is more during acceleration and at idle while in gear just like everybody else's. I have also noticed extremely loud engine noise for a new car while at idle in gear or in park as well. Noise and vibration exists when I bought this as a new car. I fed up with vibration. Feeling like traveling in a truck. I really suggest not to buy this car anymore.

I discovered the vibration 2 days after I bought my CRV 2015 and took it in a few days ago. The dealership was not able to fix the problem and instead said that they are waiting for a bulletin on this particular diagnosis. I just bought this vehicle and it's already giving me problems. I'm currently in the middle of working with the dealership for some options.

After owning 6 Subarus I purchased, based on Honda's reputation, a 2015 EX-L CR-V on October 1st, 2015. Noticed vibrations at idle, as well as at speed especially (pronounced wobbling) between 60 - 70 miles per hour.

Returned to the dealer the next day assuming that there may be an issue with wheel balance of alignment. The Honda mechanic test drove the vehicle confirming the issue. Wheels and alignment checked out within specs. A service bulletin was found recommending a software update which was performed. A second test drive showed no improvement.

A Honda technician was called who confirmed that the company is aware of the issue, was not sure of the reason (possibly "harmonic distortion" due to installation of the Accord drive-train in the CR-V body) and commented that they have been working on the issue for some time but have no resolution. I tried to meet with the sales manager, hoping to return the vehicle, but was ignored. The results were the same when trying to contact the salesman from whom I purchased the car.

I am left with a defective product with no resolution in sight and concerns regarding its safety. I have noted quite a number of owner complaints on-line and have reported the matter to NHTSA who told me that several dozen similar complaints have been filed. The most disturbing part is the disinterest that Honda is showing toward the satisfaction of their loyal customer base.

Update from Oct 15, 2015: Visit to a second dealer, rebalancing of wheels and a second "software update" resulted in no improvement. Our two Subarus (194,000 and 177,000 miles respectively) run much more smoothly with minimal issues from day one. Found Honda Youtube video acknowledging the issue, but with no resolution in sight. Dealer will not consider any accommodation. Considering attractive options from other manufacturers, this will be the last Honda that we will ever buy.

Bought at: Honda of Fishers in Indiana. I thought I had chosen the right car that fit my budget, good gas mileage, safety, comfort. I have perfect credit, a nice down payment and chose the Honda CRV. My sales guy was friendly, talkative, said his wife was buying one, and it is car of the year, the best car on the road. I asked him if there were negatives and he said no, there are basically no complaints. I picked up my car that afternoon and drove to Ft Wayne IN. Before I even got out of Fishers I felt the vibration and stopped to check my tires. I talked to GINO the next morning, he said yes Honda does have this issue but there is no fix for it. I was so upset at him for lying to me, not disclosing to me that these cars are BIG problems.

It took me a couple of days to figure out that it happens when I have my foot on the brake when idling and sometimes over 70... When my AC was on the vibration was minor but as soon as I turned it off, it shakes like crazy. I can feel it up my whole body and I am always releasing and changing my hands since it makes my arms and hands itch. I have had it back in to them and to another Honda location and there is still no fix..funny how Honda re the only people that don't seem to think it's a problem..

I finally had someone from Honda call me 5 months later responding to a message I left in April. Is this good business? I have had a lot of cars, I have driven MANY rental cars and have never felt a vibration like this. I have contacted an attorney and as much as I hate to go through this, there is no way I can live with this car for 5 or more yrs...I am positive it will cause other issues to ones self..They say it is not a danger but how do they know if they can't even find out the reason for sure..I have heard several reasons why it shakes and each time they change it..I feel the after affect hours later..it's very uncomfortable.

The manager at this location has never responded to me and I have no other choice but to try and recoup my money and get something else I can rely on...Honda is not the company it used to be..they are making them much cheaper now and I hope they have to pay for what they are doing to people in an dishonest way. A brand new car should not be sold with a big problem..I think his has been so stressful for me that I will never trust them again.

I have talked with hundreds of people about this ..it's a huge deal.

Good Luck everyone

This is my third Honda car. I bought New Honda CR-V 2015 on August 10, 2015. For the test drive dealer offer to try different Honda CR-V 2015 with more miles on it. When I left dealership I noticed that my car is shaking and very unstable on the road. My husband was following me and noticed that I constantly crossing yellow lane. Driving this car is very dangerous. My whole body vibrates, everything is shaking (driver seat, dashboard, cap holder). It is difficult to hold your hands on wheel while driving (due to shaking, rattling).

I contacted my salesperson on the second day and explain my concern about safety. He mention that HONDA does not know how to fix it. Honda new that they have had this issue and still sold me a car. When car is on idle it makes very loud vibration, that goes true whole body. The worst part is on Red signal, I tried to release gas pedal and was were close to have an accident (not once). Honda needs to stop selling CR-V 2015. Can someone stop them. I invested money. This is our forth car from same dealership. Right now my car in on dealership. I do not want this car back. I am afraid to drive it. This car was our family cars, I do not want to put my family in danger. I feel lightheaded and nauseated while driving this car. Please be aware this time, I trusted Honda too.

Vibration at idle is not only felt but is also visible by watching the headrest of the passenger seat. It is almost a blur. Have also noticed what I would call a rumble/vibration coming from the engine/transmission that can be easily felt in the steering wheel and also heard. It seems to occur whenever I accelerate but is most apparent when accelerating at around 40 MPH and under load such as going uphill. First oil change due in approx. 2000 miles at which time I will discuss the above with the service manager. Based on what I’ve read on various web sites there doesn’t seem to be a quick fix for this very annoying problem. Will update if I learn anything new but in the meantime -- Buyer Beware

Update from Nov 22, 2015: Late in October I had a sit down with the service manager of the dealership where I purchased my CRV and a Honda factory rep regarding my rumbling/vibration complaints. The FR told me that a Technical Service Bulletin and an associated repair kit would be forthcoming sometime during the first week in November. This would be a TSB, not a recall and that my dealership would call me when the kit was available. The FR also stated the repair would go a long way to resolving the vibration issue but was not 100% effective !!! He also said the kit included new headrests ??? I waited patiently until November 20 and, not hearing anything, I called my dealership for an update. I was told by the Service Manager that the kit was in and that he was scheduling me for a November 30 repair that would take about 3 to 4 hours. He also said they had already installed this kit on one other CRV with “excellent results”. We shall see. Will update this thread after the ‘repair’ with the results and my opinions.

Update from Dec 2, 2015: Currently 11000 + miles on my 2015 CRV This will be my final update as my vibration problem appears to be solved.

Monday Nov. 30, 2015

Took my CRV into my dealer and had 3 modules applied as per TSB 15-046. The 3 modules were comprised of the following items ---

Installed new/upgraded radiator lower cushions Installed new/upgraded transmission mounts Performed PCM update Update software with Mongoose Honda Pro Installed rear tailgate damper Installed new front headrests Calibrate seat weight sensor

The time spent at the dealership to complete the above was 3 hours 15 minutes.

I believe that covers it. Although it took Honda quite some time to come up with this fix still without any explanation as to why/how it happens it did indeed solve my rumbling/vibration complaint. My compliments to my dealership( Charlies Honda - Augusta Maine ) for handling their end of this fiasco. Will watch this site for a while to see if others have benefited from the above. Good luck !!

Today after calling Honda headquarters just going no where. They suggested to bring the car back to the dealer which I bought the car back the the dealer again. The guy who is very nice, smiling a lot but he can't do anything. He just showed me the online video that Ive been watched a few times. Actually I showed him the video on my phone. He kept saying he cannot do anything for this problem and Honda don't want them to try to fix it. He then asked the manager to seat in my car drove me around telling me how mile efficient this car is....this is 4cylinder bla bla bla....

Honda is trying to fix the problem and hopefully will have a fix then Honda will mail me a letter to let me know. After I left there, I realized that the dealer didn't even document the problem w. My car. Later I wondered how Honda know my car has this vibration issue. The guy just said they already know by vin #. So my conclusion is that if the guy is telling the true Honda knew how many defected vehicle out there and just waiting for complaints? And my dealer just kept the secret selling this so call normal car to me. This car is 2weeks old. Its already a headache. I am very upset about this whole experience. Not to mention I over spent the car I didn't even get a normal car that don't vibrate!

After the engine warms up, the 2015 CR-V has significant vibration when idling. The engine idle rpm drops to approximately 600 rpm. that's the sweet, or should I say sour spot! The vibration is terrible! Vibration this severe cannot be good for the car. The passenger seat, (and my head) dance wildly while stuck in Washington, DC traffic. The only relief while idling comes 1.) when I turn on the AC, or 2.) I continually release and press the brake, (Not recommended! ) at stop lights. When I do this, the engine tends to rev up to approximately 800 rpms which minimizes the vibration. The vibration negates what would have been a great SUV!

The dealer's response to my problem left me vibrating even more! I bought this SUV as a retirement present to myself. This is the biggest financial mistake I've made in a long time and the timing is even worse! SHAME ON YOU HONDA! Because of the dealers response or should I say lack of response, I will never buy another Honda! I will tell as many people as possible about this situation and the dealers response.
