The contacted stated that there was an abnormal oil and gasoline odor coming through the vents. The contact drove the vehicle to the residence. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and was diagnosed, but not repaired. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V121000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.
The contact owns a 2015 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving 60-65 MPH, the vehicle started stalling. The contact was able to veer to the side of the road. The contact was able to restart the vehicle; however, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the battery had failed. The contact stated that the battery was replaced; however, the failure recurred while driving. The contact was able to drive to the dealer, who diagnosed the vehicle, but could not determine the cause of the failure. The contact stated that the failure recurred a third time. The contact was able to pull to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that cylinder #3 was misfiring and was leaking air. The dealer replaced the spark plugs and performed a valve adjustment; however, the failure persisted. The dealer then determined that unknown injectors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V121000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 128,000.
The contact owns a 2015 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while stopped at a traffic signal and accelerating to approximately 20 MPH to cross the intersection, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to shift into park(P) and restart the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent; however, several times after stalling, several attempts were needed to restart the vehicle. The contact stated vehicle was hesitating while depressing the accelerator pedal before the vehicle responded. The contact stated that the vehicle would not start at one point, and the battery was replaced. The contact stated that the stalling had occurred when the weather was hot. The contact checked the coolant level, and the reservoir was full. Additionally, the contact stated that following an oil change, the brake pedal was depressed with force and the check oil warning light illuminated. The contact stated that after checking the oil level, two quarts of oil needed to be added to top up the oil level. The contact checked for oil leaks but found none. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.
The contact owned a 2015 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that after she made a right turn into a parking lot, the vehicle shut off while driving up an incline(speed unknown) without warning. The contact placed that vehicle into neutral and attempted to restart the vehicle but each attempt failed. White smoke began to emit from the hood of the vehicle and an off-duty firefighter came to her assistance with a fire extinguisher; however, the smoke turned black as flames began to emit from the engine. The fire department was called to the scene and the fire was eventually extinguished. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it remained in their possession. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. Upon investigation, the contact linked her failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V121000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). The vehicle was destroyed. The failure mileage was approximately 73,000.
The 2015 CRV ex vibrates at idle so badly that it feels as if the engine is going to stall. It also vibrates while driving but not all the time. This started as soon as I purchased the CRV. When I brought it back to the dealer in November 2014, with only 200 miles on it, I was told Honda was aware of the issue and was working on a fix for it. It has been 10 months with multiple visits to the dealer and still no fix. I have been told recently at the dealer that Honda was most likely not going to correct this issue because of the cost. It continues to be a distraction while driving and at idle and I hope Honda will do the right thing and fix this issue. To me this is a major issue that needs correction now. Also, I have had a noise from under the CRV driving over dips or bumps in the road at low speeds, most noticeable below 30 mph. Brought it to the dealer who has since replaced to rear struts 2 times already and still the noise is still there. I will continue to bring it back to them until this is addressed. This has been my worst experience with a new car since I first purchased my first car some 30 years ago.
I purchased a 2015 Honda CR-V in Dec. 14. it had 148 miles when purchased. I cannot drive it due to vibrations-has not been out of my garage due to this except to take back and forth to the dealer. Honda does not have a fix for this. I get nowhere with Honda or the dealer. This problem is all over the internet, customers with same situation - you tube has videos on this. I have a copy of an E mail sent to the dealer by Honda acknowledging this problem with no resolution. How does a company build these and not know how to fix. I want a full refund on this 2015 - $30,000 car with now 268 miles. So far, no go. These Honda cannot be safe to drive with these vibrations at certain RPM's and lunging forward at stops. Bad accidents are coming. Someone has to help - NHTSA needs to force Honda to recall the 2015 CR-V lemon law is coming Honda's way......
I just purchased the vehicle on April 13, 2015 and after operating the vehicle for approximately two days. I have noticed that when the vehicle is stopped at a traffic light or stop sign in (drive) idling, there is a vibration coming from the front seats and when I proceed to drive it dissipates and stops.
Just purchased this car a month ago and had to take my car to dealer twice for severe vibrations when my car is in idle. Dealer let me know that Honda is aware of the issue but does not have a fix. Vibrations began on near passenger seat but now can be felt in the entire car. They are distracting and cause me to be nauseous since I have a long commute in rush hour traffic.
The car vibrates heavily at idle. This vibration far exceeds any vibration I have experienced in any other vehicle and is not acceptable for a new vehicle. All passengers can feel the vibration, but it is most pronounced in the front passenger seat - when empty it shakes violently. The vibration is so pronounced that I have a hard time focusing my eyes resulting in eye-strain. The conditions under which the vibration (described below) occurs will not be experienced by most test-drivers and so Honda is deceiving the public by selling this car. They are aware of the issue and are doing nothing to solve it and they continue to sell the CR-V. this is shameful. My findings: 1. the strong vibration / shaking happens continuously when: A. engine is warm 5-15 minutes B. at a complete stop in drive C. there is no additional load on the engine (all additional components are off - lights, ac, radio etc) D. rpms drop to just above the 500 line 2. the strong vibration / shaking comes and goes cyclically when: A. engine is warm 5-15 minutes B. at a complete stop in drive C. there is some additional load on the engine. Such as: Ac or manually turned on running lights - how long it takes to cycle varies, but it will do so eventually. The rpms cycle between the 550-600 (hard vibration / shaking) and 750-800?? (again not sure of the exact reading) which produces a much more tolerable (although still very annoying) vibration 3. the strong vibration shaking does not happen when there is enough of a load on the engine to hold the rpms steady at the higher idle RPM mark of approximately 750-800. Although, the less pronounced (although still very annoying) vibration remains. A. most consistent things to do this: Auto-light function when engaged with lights on & manually turning on fill nighttime lights.
Brand new 2015 CRV ex AWD with 250 miles. When it sits idle in the D position at a traffic light or stopped the car vibrates very badly. Called the dealer service department at several different dealers in the DC area and none are aware of how to fix the problem. Called Honda customer service to report this and they said that there is no fix for this issue.
