CarComplaints.com Notes: Some vehicles alert you if you fall asleep behind the wheel, but the 2015 Honda CR-V has a different approach: just shake the heck out of you so you never fall asleep in the first place.

While driving our 2015 CRV a day after our initial purchase it began to shake violently at idle. So bad that in stop and go traffic it can cause the driver and passengers to start to feel sick. Honda has acknowledged the issue but says that it isn't a safety concern and it is a characteristic of the vehicle. Additionally the car vibrates and feels as if might die when slowing down at a stop light. The same thing that a manual might do if left in gear when slowing to a stop. Additionally the same thing can occur when initially accelerating. I feel that these are safety issues because they are distracting to the driver and the CRV could eventually start stalling out in the middle of an intersection.
2015 Honda CR-V: unusual vibration at stop with gear shift in drive mode and loud mum sound when driving between 15 to 25 mph similar to all other complaints on this 2015 model.
2015 Honda CR-V vibrates at idle while in gear just like everybody else's. I have also noticed extremely loud engine noise for a new car while at idle in gear or in park as well. Noise and vibration begun at about 141 miles.
Very strong vibration at idle. Very annoying and can cause harm to my body and it really makes me regret buying the car each time I stop at a stop signal or at a red light. I have filed a complaint with both the dealer and Honda to take back my costly brand new CRV 2015 touring for a full refund. I haven't heard back from them yet.
Shortly after purchasing I noticed a engine vibration when stopped or idling. Called dealer to complain and they said they were aware of the issue and that Honda was working on it. I would not ave bought the car if I would have noticed it sooner. Totally unacceptable. This is very annoying and distracting.

My car has a serious vibration issues when it idles or is revving up to 40-50mph. It is incredible distracting and only has been getting worse since I bought the car. I am very concerned that this issue will continue to grow and outside of it being very annoying it has been distracting me and causing even the passenger in the front seat to ask "what is that? it can't be normal". I hope this Agency along with Honda usa will work hard to find a solution as I do not believe it is safe to drive as is.
While in low idle (less than 750 RPM) vehicle shudders while in drive or "S" gear. Shudder decreases if car is shifted to neutral, or if brake continues to be applied and a bit more rpms are introduced by tapping the accelerator. Happens in either regular drive or eco mode. Doesn't happen all the time, but is annoying when it happens.
My Honda CRV 2015 LX model vibrates at stop, all signal lights and bumper to bumper traffic, its really distracting the drive and driver. Filed a complaint with America Honda, but no use. They don't have fix right now.
My 2015 CRV has a consistent shudder and vibration that can be felt through the steering wheel and seat while driving. It is most noticeable at 1000 RPM's and 2000 RPM's. this vibration is very distracting and causes fatigue during longer trips. Also severe vibrations at the idle, around 600 RPM's when stopped at stop lights or in traffic. The vibration makes the car extremely uncomfortable to drive for the driver as well as the passenger.
I bought a brand new with 6 miles on the vehicle and after a week took it back to the dealer to find out what's causing that vibrating / shaking feeling when the car is in idle or at a red light, car shakes a lot and can really Focus on the steering wheel, dealer told me that they are aware of the problem and suppose my sales person that been working there for 15 years don't know nothing about this problem and the service man said that Honda is working on a software, this is a $30K car I asked for exchanged they said they are not allowed to do such a thing like this, , my question is when Honda is going to come up with something that could fix this issue, , I am scared to drive this vehicle on vacation because it feels that engine or transmission is going to break a part we need an answer we need something to be done about this not just we are aware of it and that's it, , that don't help these days.
Car has a bad vibration and shuttering while idling and at around 60 mph. It shakes and can be nauseating at times. Paid over 30,000 for a car that is uncomfortable and makes me sick. I don't feel safe!!! Honda dealer says in a "characteristic" of the car. Something is defiantly wrong!!!
Vibrations felt thru steering column, pedals and floor in the RPM range 1,000-1,500. Happens during all normal driving speeds, very annoying and have requested a full refund. Honda should not be able to sell without fully disclosing this defect. I would like to join a class action suit if not fully refunded.
With gear in drive, car noticeably vibrates/stutters while stopped. Vibration is visible when looking at the passenger side seat when empty. RPM ranges from 500-600. Vibration dissipates when vehicle is moving.
The car has a vibration at low speeds, 15 - 20 mph. When accelerating from 35 - 40 mph the car shudders. The dealer said mine was the forth car the had seen with this problem and there is no fix at this time. They took computer snapshots that were sent to Honda. The Honda regional rep told me that Honda knows there is a problem. I have had no communication from Honda since Feb. 27 2015. I don't know if it is safe to drive this vehicle at freeway speeds. My case number with Honda is [xxx]. information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
I bought Honda 2015 CRV-LX at Mar 23 2015, and I noticed a terrible vibration when I drove to home after the car is warm and stop at stop-sigh in D gear. You can see the vibration in open windows, seats, etc and anything in the car. I went back to the dealership at Mar 24 and the service guy drove another new CRV to compare with mine and also got the totally same problem and then he said it is manufacturer problem so that they can't fix it. And then went back to ask the sales, sales said all CRV has such problem and this purchase was done already so they can't do anything for me even this is a really super annoying problem for me and all the CRV's owner.
There is an issue with the 2015 Honda CR-V where the car vibrates and rattles significantly when idling in drive with brake depressed. The RPM seems to drop down to 600 and the engine starts making noise and vibrating. At the present time it is only an inconvenience and irritating but I feel that if this continues them we may be looking at premature wear and tear of parts just due to the excess vibrations. Consumers may be in for huge spends to replace parts that were worn out over the years due to excessive vibrations in the car.
A strong vibration when vehicle is stopped and in drive. The vibration rattles the whole car- you can see the vibration in open windows, the passenger seat, the gear shift. Uncomfortable drive and lack of confidence in the safety of my vehicle. Scared to drive my car on long distances. First Honda- probably last.
Took delivery of 2015 CRV exl on 04-09-15. Found pronounced drive train shudder while operating vehicle at speeds from idle to 30mph at 1000-1250 RPM. Returned veh. To lia Honda in northampton mass. Where technician was able to duplicate and document complaint. Service writer states that Honda is aware of issue but has no fix. My 2011 CRV ran smooth as glass. Honda has been the benchmark for quality vehicles but has really dropped the ball on the 2015 CRV. If a machine shudders or vibrates when in operation there is an indication that it was mis-designed, something is broken or will break in the near future. Real shame that Honda released this vehicle with this known problem. Will certainly become a safety issue if something comes apart in the powertrain while the vehicle is at speed.
Extreme vibrations at idle speed, moderate vibrations when accelerating Honda is aware of the problem, but still selling these cars. My Honda CR-V vibrates at idle while in gear at approximately 500-600 rpms. It also vibrates while accelerating at all speeds under approximately 2100-2200 rpms. This can't be good for the longevity of the engine and is distracting, hence a safety concern.
