When activating the adaptive cruise control, which keeps the car at my selected distance from a vehicle in front of my car, this is what happened to me twice in 3 weeks. The car in front of me was traveling slower than my set speed on my cruise control which slowed my car automatically. The car then moved to another lane. My car surged ahead like I floored the gas pedal to get back up to the speed I set on the cruise control. It scared the h### out of me. I would think it would increase my speed gradually until it reached the speed I set. NOT SAFE AT ALL!!!!!!!!!
