Honda has tried to fix this delayed acceleration with a software update, but many owners report it didn't fix the problem.
This defect trend is not quite bad enough yet for us to slap on the "Beware of the Clunker" seal. But it's a concern & definitely something to keep in mind for a test drive.
After all these cars Honda installed this engine on why won't they recognize they have a flawed design and stand behind their product. Fix what's wrong.
When I'm driving my 2014 CRV it makes a noise. It accelerates and starts making a bad noise. I need to know what to do. Should I contact consumer protection or contact the dealer. I need assistance.
Update from Jan 31, 2018: Engine noice very annoying the noice is bad ...help
I get a very annoying fluttering/whine type of noise that I hear in the engine area that always happens around 50-60mph, it seems to only happen when I let off the gas or I'm coasting at that speed. As soon as you press the gas it goes away, you can even hear it over the radio sometimes when the volume is at 12. Honda says it is normal for the car to do this, not buying it.
