CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2014 Honda CR-V has a trend of engine hesitation when accelerating.
Honda has tried to fix this delayed acceleration with a software update, but many owners report it didn't fix the problem.
This defect trend is not quite bad enough yet for us to slap on the "Beware of the Clunker" seal. But it's a concern & definitely something to keep in mind for a test drive.

Door lock actuator failure once common in earlier models of the CRV, is back at least in my case. Keyless button no longer worked and neither would the key. Replaced CR2016 battery in key fob but no change. When lock actuator fails you are not getting in with a key or the keyless function. Repair costs I am hearing are about $500 plus tow. These costs are negligible compared to loss of use at a critical time. I will be trading in my vehicle for a different make once its been repaired. I would rather take my chances with Takata airbag shrapnel than a sketchy door lock mechanism. This is on a model with under 40,000 miles good luck if you own one.
