CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2014 Honda CR-V has a trend of engine hesitation when accelerating.
Honda has tried to fix this delayed acceleration with a software update, but many owners report it didn't fix the problem.
This defect trend is not quite bad enough yet for us to slap on the "Beware of the Clunker" seal. But it's a concern & definitely something to keep in mind for a test drive.

Glad to see this is a common problem. My Honda dealer insists it doesn't exist.
When we go to the mountains and the temperature drops below 35 degrees, the tailgate doesn't open, period.
My solution has been to put the rear seats down and just throw everything in the back via the rear doors. However, this excludes a 3rd and 4th passenger!
What a basic design flaw! And to think this car was put together in Ontario! You'd think some Canadians would notice it.
Has a solution come along yet? Replacement of the door lock mechanism seems to be a waste of time.
