CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2014 Honda CR-V has a trend of engine hesitation when accelerating.
Honda has tried to fix this delayed acceleration with a software update, but many owners report it didn't fix the problem.
This defect trend is not quite bad enough yet for us to slap on the "Beware of the Clunker" seal. But it's a concern & definitely something to keep in mind for a test drive.

This is a common problem that has been voiced by many of the Honda CRV owners. Honda does not offer a solution or an alternate address to be installed. I have heard of people in any manner Ways bending the steel post on the headrest to straighten the headrest out somewhat. I have complained to the dealer on several occasions at one. They suggested give me a lumbar support and recommended one in the parts department which I bought. I try to fix it to the seat before I even left the dealer and the device did not even fit over the seat. When I returned it immediately to the sales clerk he was rather perturbed it was return that item after opening the package. I explained to him that what he recommended I use did that even fit over the seat and I had no alternative but to return it to him. In the meantime I have yet to find something to help make it more comfortable. Anyone who drives my car when we are traveling has the same complaint and gets tired of driving very quickly. When I am sitting in my seat driving, My head is angled downward with my chin nearly touching my chest, and I find myself looking almost over for my glasses as I’m driving. I have tried using a small rolled pillow behind my neck to create a more straight angle as my head touches the head rest. This does not work because the pillow slips and slides around and is a great distraction my driving. The other thing I have tried is leaving my seat back further so the head rest is not touching my head when I’m driving but then I am not getting the support of the back of the seat for my back. No matter how I look at it it is a very uncomfortable seat and headrest. I have regular and constant neck pain and shoulder pain because of it. Up until recently I had a long commute back-and-forth to work making a very uncomfortable drive especially when added with the stress of rush-hour traffic. I am constantly seeing others complaining with the same issues and still Honda has not offered any fixes are workarounds or replacement headrest. Please if anyone knows of something that I can do to remedy this serious problem let me know. I am not in a position to be able to trade in my car for a newer or different make and model since I have retired and I am on a very limited income.
