Seat Heaters Burned Seat
2014 Honda CR-V
This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Honda dealer.
CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2014 Honda CR-V has a trend of engine hesitation when accelerating.
Honda has tried to fix this delayed acceleration with a software update, but many owners report it didn't fix the problem.
This defect trend is not quite bad enough yet for us to slap on the "Beware of the Clunker" seal. But it's a concern & definitely something to keep in mind for a test drive.

I purchased this 2014 CR-V six months ago with 20,000 miles. Last week, both the driver and passenger seats overheated to the point that we couldn't turn the heaters off fast enough! I felt fortunate that my passenger was not injured as that seat had visible burn damage. The dealer's service worker said he had been working there 25 years and had never seen such an incident. The passenger seat will be replaced, the wiring fixed and hopefully that won't happen again!
