Transmission and Drivetrain Warranty is for 60000 Miles so technically I was liable for the full amount. I bought the vehicle from a lady aged in her sixties that did all the servicing during warranty period. I purchased the car at 50000 Miles so the car was never driven hard. Honda first tried a bulletin fix that was a computer update for the transmission and I was told that it may not work. That 170 dollar repair was paid by me prior to a Torque Converter Plate Replacement. Honda agreed to a 50% repair of warranty cost for that and that would have been 500 dollars. The change out of the Torque Converter Plate was a useless repair that they incurred and they agreed to a 50% warranty repair on the a complete transmission change out. I guess I should be happy about this but who would ever think that you would ever need a transmission at 65000 miles. I argued my case as a previous Honda Leasee but they wouldn't budge on the cost. Just posting this to let others know that this can happen to your car and maybe you will have better grounds for a cheaper repair. Transmissions should last longer than 65k unless they have been rode hard by immature drivers.
