I was always a strong Honda supporter. I said I wouldn't buy another brand. Today, I changed my mind. My boyfriend went to pull the Honda in the garage. It started up, moved six inches and just died in the middle of the garage. That could have been my son and I in the vehicle on a busy highway when it just stopped. We could have been killed.

Now, the vehicle is making a strange cranking sound, but not turning over and it has to be towed to the dealer so I can find out what is wrong with it. I haven't done anything different. I have always kept up to date on maintenance and oil changes.

Honda needs to get their act together and start recalling and fixing these problems.

CR-V EX 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission

I tried to start my car and the starter would crank, but the car would not start. I thought it might be the battery, so I had my father-in-law try to jump start it. That did not work. I ended up having it towed to the dealers. The first time they tried to start it, it would not start. So they ended up pumping the gas and it started right up. They kept it for another day but could not get it to replicate the issue, nor did it have any codes. They were not able to offer any type of fix for the problem. A fuel injected vehicle should not have to have the gas pumped to start it.

I am concerned that there is a problem that no one has discovered with the car since it is not starting properly. If there is no problem, I should not have to pump the gas to get it to start.
