My camera started to fog up after about a month of ownership due to using the car wash and the heavy moisture living in Michigan. Dealer wanted $530 to fix it, which includes $250 for the part. Overtime, the camera got better, but then gotten worse; eventually, the camera went out in May 2019 with only the yellow line across the screen. I feel this is a defective part on the camera as it wasn't as sealed, allowing moisture to be let in and disable the camera.
Update from Apr 4, 2021: Update on this issue. Camera died in 2019, and recently got it fixed last week on 3/30. Honda was nice enough to give a 2021 CRV EX loaner car for the weekend. Service tech said that it was an internal fault problem, rather than moisture or condensation within the camera. I am meticulous with my car and do half the preventive maintenance as I can. Sadly, my 3 year/36,000 miles on this CPO was also up along with HondaCare that expired last year (2020). Out of pocket expense of $682 after taxes. Seems like an isolated incident rather than a common problem.
