The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who performed diagnostic testing that located a failure code at the alternator. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 40,400.
The contact owns a 2012 Honda CR-V. the contact stated that the vehicle would not start and would also stall intermittently. The steering wheel was difficult to turn and the contact had to apply force in order to turn the steering wheel. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who replaced the battery four times and the alternator however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 16,400.
