excessive vibration

I bought this new car 8 years ago, I had all kinds of crazy problems like seat belt broken, door lock problem, brake pad replacement under 3 years....

but I have to replace propeller shaft is really crazy beyond understanding. My car is only 87,000 km, also I use dealer as ongoing service. I have to spend $4000 for this.

After this nightmare, then 3 warning light up on dashboard. I have to go back dealer for check up and was told that I have to replace timing chain. It is another $2000.

Both propeller shaft and timing chain should not be broken if Honda has a quality check before they release new cars. my car was maintained by dealer ongoing basis. I could not imagine is it a bad luck or screwed by Honda.

I contacted Honda for help, they told me that the car is over warranty, so I have to pay all these crazy issues.

Honda cars are really bad for my experience!!!

A little known problem with the 2012-14 CRV's is the shaft bearing for the AWD models. Seems like it's common enough for a Service Bulletin (15-076) to have been issued. Unfortunately the sound of this defect only became noticeable to us once we removed the winter tires from our car. Of course this coincided with the expiry of the drive-train warranty. Armed with optimism we contacted Honda Canada for consideration, especially given the fact that we only have 42,000 KM on the car and we were super close on the warranty expiry date. We were asked to go to a Honda Dealer and pay for an estimate in order to confirm the problem, which we did and paid for. In the end, the problem was confirmed, the estimate was between $2,600 - $3,000 (taxes in), and Honda Canada refused to extend our warranty but rather offered a $1,000 discount. The actual part (propeller shaft) can be purchased for less than $400 for a good brand new OEM part in the US, so we decided to sell the car and be done with it rather then be taken advantage of...

We only post this for other CR-V owners to beware of this issue and not have the same thing happen to them. In the end it's too bad as we would have stayed loyal Honda customers, but this was bad customer service judgement in our opinion...

excessive vibration at interstate speeds (70 mph)

last SPRING i PAID A PREMIUM price to by this "certified" Honda CRV from the local Honda Dealer and have had this annoying problem from the getgo. I have had it to the dealer three times and still not fixed. The last time I TOOK IT IN THE TECHNICIAN SAID THAT HE COULD ONLY GET A SLIGHT TIME VIBRATION. Obviously he didn"t take it out onto the interstate as I just came back from a trip and it still vibrates excessively at 70 mpr or greater. I am now ready to write to the Honda co HQ. if they don.t fix it. will give them one more chance. Any thoughts ot there?
