After having the rear rotors and pads replaced at 35,000, I had to replace rotors and pads all around after just another 16,000 miles at my expense. Within days the new rotors and brake system began rusting and grinding again despite plenty of lubrication of the calipers. We are now at just 61,000 miles and I can tell I will probably have to do them again to pass inspection later this year.
We were going to buy an Odyssey to replace our Toyota Sienna, which NEVER has any brake problems. I have read MANY complaints about Honda CRV brake problems on dozens of sites - all the same complaints. We will definitely not be buying another Honda. Too bad because the rest of the car is fine. CRV brake problems appear to go back to 2003. After 14 years they should have resolved this problem.
