I was driving on the freeway at 70mph. It was 10pm. We heard a loud noise, sounding like stones flying up and hitting what I thought was the underside of the car. The next morning I saw the sun roof had exploded. The remaining glass looked as if it was pushed up from the inside like a volcanic eruption. There was no other damage to the roof. No other cars around and no over passes. There is a web site where hundreds of people have shared similar stories about many different car manufactures with the same defective sunroof glass issues.
The contact owns a 2010 Honda CR-V. the contact stated that while driving at approximately 65 mph, the sun roof glass exploded without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who advised the contact to report the failure to the insurance company. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 142,000. The VIN was not available....updated 04/15/15
The contact owns a 2010 Honda CR-V. the contact stated while driving 60 mph the sunroof glass exploded without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who advised him to report the failure to the insurance company. Report case number 12011-11-1002100 was filed with the manufacturer who advised the contact that someone would follow up with him. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and the current mileage was 11,000.
