2010 Honda CRV exl ac popping sound. The 1st 2010 CRV that we test drove had a random popping sound coming from behind the glove compartment when the ac was turned on. We asked the dealer for another car. This car seemed to be fine and we purchased it. After about driving it a 100 miles the popping noise started on this car too. When the ac is on I get random popping noise behind the ac controls / glove compartment. Other times it will just pop when stopping it might be something that's assembled incorrectly, and makes a popping noise as a plastic parts expands or contracts as the A/C compressor cycles on/off. This could cause some parts to pop if they are binding from incorrect assembly or tolerances that are too tight. Currently there are no service bulletins available that are addressing this problem.
