CarComplaints.com Notes: While the 2009 CR-V still came equipped with tires that wear out faster than my Grandpa after a turkey dinner, Honda did address an electrical problem with the door locks that plagued owners of previous model years.

The contact owns a 2009 Honda CR-V. while driving 20 mph, the contact T-boned another vehicle that ran a stop sign. The air bags failed to deploy and the driver's seat belt failed to restrain the contact properly. A police report was filed. The contact was transported to the hospital to be checked for chest and back pains; however, the X-rays came back clear. The contact experienced muscle spasms and soreness across the chest and bruising to both feet. The vehicle was towed to the local body shop and the body damage was repaired; however, the seat belt needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not declared destroyed. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was contacted and made aware of the failure, however no additional assistance was offered. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

While installing my child's carseat, the weld broke and the anchor came off of the car. This was a structural failure and should not be considered "wear and tear".

The door lock on my 2009 CRV does not work, neither manually nor with the electronic "fob". I cannot get into the car. I went online on edmunds car forum and noted that this appears to be a widespread problem with Honda CRV. Perhaps Honda should be made to fix this problem at their own expense. This problem could potentially leave the car owner locked outside his/her car in the freezing cold with no access to a phone to call for help. Please look into this matter.
