CarComplaints.com Notes: While the 2009 CR-V still came equipped with tires that wear out faster than my Grandpa after a turkey dinner, Honda did address an electrical problem with the door locks that plagued owners of previous model years.
The reason I am writing this complaint is because I had no idea the trusted Honda brand is a sham! Not until today doing my research, did I find out that this is not a freak of nature occurrence but an ongoing situation.
This morning at 8:00am, after dropping my daughter for camp, not even 5 minutes after, I pulled into a small parking lot and got the scare of my life. There was only one truck parked in the corner. I decided I would park in the back lot instead. As I slowly went to make a U-turn, the car accelerated incredibly fast and wouldn't brake! I'm trying to stop and the brakes weren't working. I am heading straight to a tree and thinking I can't stop and I'm going to hit this tree! The front left is squooshed like an accordion and the front bumper came all the way up to the hood.
The police came to do the report and said they never saw this before with a Honda. The ENTs said the same thing. But looking now, I can see this is not an isolated incident. I just keep thinking THANK GOD my daughter was not in the car. THANK GOD the lot was empty! Now my car will be inspected but I'm petrified this could happen again. It wasn't until a horrific catastrophe happened that Toyota brought their faulty malfunction public. Please HONDA! Take notice and take care of this problem. Thank GOD I'm ok. I went to the Armonk Urgent Care because my wrists were wounded. I'll most likely be even more sore tomorrow. But I'm OK.
I wanted to share this story because I know I'm not going crazy and this was not my fault. I would like to thank the people who shared their story of the car taking off like a possessed demon and Car Complaints for allowing this. Thank You!
