Recently purchased the vehicle after completing MD state inspection by dealer, and it presented the shutter the second day after taking ownership and every day since. I took it to Honda Dealer for investigation three days later. Honda Dealer performed two flash updates to transmission firmware with no change - shutter still present.
Honda Dealer recommended replacing the torque converter for $3282.90 or complete transmission replacement for $4444.78. How did this vehicle pass inspection only three says earlier??? Taking it back to dealer where purchased for them to assess and hopefully take care of under their 30 day/1000 mile power train warranty.
Update from Jul 21, 2016: The Dealer (Not Honda affiliated) where I purchased the vehicle used provided a 30 day/1000 mile power-train warranty. They agreed to replace the differential at ZERO cost to me. I had taken it to the Honda Dealers to determine the issue for documentation purposes and they confirmed the Diff needed to be replace for $3200! Full Tranny replacement would be $4400!
I dodged a bullet with having so recently purchased the used vehicle and it acting up while under the limited service warranty!
