The car has a grinding noise when turning the key to start or stop the engine. I took it
for service but it would not make the noise for them. They said they could not fix a problem if they can not hear it. When I got home, it did it again. I will just have to wait until it gets worse or stops?
Hi, I have a 2008 Honda CR-V LX 4 Cyl for abt 5 months and most of the time i have been using grade 85 for the fuel and now i had seen in the manual that the recommended grade is 87. I live in NJ and now after seeing that i am bit worried if my habit of using grade 85 might have caused any damage to the cars engine. One thing i have observed is that i don't get that pickup when i am going uphill. I went to the dealer for a transmission check and they couldn't find any wrong with the system. And also i am hearing couple of times some Hiss/Grinding noise when starting(turning my ignition key). It would be great if some one can suggest me any ideas about how to deal with this ?
Third complaint 2008 Honda CR-V. After 2 previous failing to start/turnover problems, and hazard flasher problems, now the car made a strange hissing/grinding noise when starting before it turned over- tried again it worked fine. Honda Inc. and the dealership just can't seem to find out what is wrong with this vehicle that is less than 6 months old! Guess I'm stick with a car that I will never feel completely confident in driving with my child along!!!!
