I had to replace the original tires, Continentals, at 29,000 miles. The car had significant road noise and the tires had feathering/scalloping on the inside-all 4! I spent $950 for goodyear forteras-had them aligned; have rotated every 5,000 miles and 12,000 miles later, now have the same problem! The dealer tells me I should have put Michelins on and had the tires rotated more frequently!!! (Where does is that stated in the owners manual?????) he refuses to acknowledge it is a problem within the car suspension or something outside of wear, tear and maintenance. I am royally pissed! Now it seems that the only satisfaction I can get to have a quiet ride is replace the tires! They haven't even been on the car for a year!!!! (I am a nurse who makes home visits) Am getting no satisfaction....plan to call Honda Cares today! Anyone else having a similar issue?

Had the car for only 13 months (28,000 km) and started experiencing very loud cabin noise while driving. The volume on the radio had to be raised to hear music and passengers have to speak loudly to hear each other. The car was new and under warranty. Took it to get diagnosed and the Honda dealer first had me sign a contract saying I would be charged $20 + tax if the problem turned out to not be covered under warranty. I argued about this and refused to sign at first but they wouldn't budge so I had to. In the end they told me the tires are causing the noise and need to be replaced. I couldn't understand how tires with only 28,000 km can need replacing and told them that when I bought new tires in the past for my old car they came with a 100,000 km + tread life. The service manager basically said I am wrong and that treadlife is only 16,000 km on Civic Si (which I don't even have, I have a CR-V!). He is a liar because I have checked since and new tires do come with 100,000 km warranties or sometimes even more. They were very unhelpful and then to add insult told me tires are not covered by Honda because they don't make the tires and I should take it up with the tire manufacturer (does Honda make the bulb in the light, the mirrors, the fabric? of course not assemble all the parts - Honda's warranty is useless). Then I was charged the $20 + tax and they would not waive this despite me having had my car serviced there before and spent hundreds. SHAME ON HONDA. I will never buy any Honda car again, and I have bought three cars from them over time. Despite this their service people treat me like a pile of excrement every time I go in and this time even Honda Canada was rude to me on the phone. Very disappointed because it's not an inexpensive car. It is astonishing that they can get away with this.

At 24,000 miles I took my car in for a routine oil change. The tech that helped in at the Honda dealership told me my rear suspension was shot and that caused all four tires to be shot. I CANNOT believe that Honda puts such crappy worthless tires on a car that is not even 2 years old. After being told the suspension was not under warranty, they came back to me and told me that it is under warranty. I am just so mad that the tires are so bad, and I paid cash for this car! Ridiculous. Listen up Honda dealers and whoever else manufactures this junk, we are paying good money for the tires to wear out in just 2 years with no warranty at all!!!! You suck!!!!! I guess this is what I get for switching from Toyota to Honda!

My CR-V at 10,000 MILES Needed new front tires because they were worn so badly and actually it probably could have used new tires all around - factory tires. Now at 15,000 miles the back tread on one side is considerably lower than the rest of the tires. I am on a tire replacement plan at 25,000 miles, thus the dealership does not want to fix the tires. They want to rotate my fron tires to the back. I am concerned. Currently there is a tread of 7 on one side in the back and 5 on the other that they want to move to the front. Is anyone else having this problem with their tires wearing?
