Structural Corrosion
2007 Honda CR-V
This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Honda dealer.
CarComplaints.com Notes: Honda redesigned the CR-V for the 2007 model year to kick off the 3rd-generation of the popular SUV. Unfortunately that redesign came with malfunctioning door locksand shoddy tires that wear out fast.

We bring to your attention the following issue asking you to help us find a solution:
As you can easily see in the scanned photographs, the car in question is visibly affected by an early process of decay, structural corrosion present on the lower floor, roll bars, bottom runner. In our view, this is essentially a corrosion of the body and structure elements of the car that should not occur outside the 12-year warranty, calculated from the date of purchase, in our case 14.03.2007, regardless of distance traveled.
Under these obvious circumstances kindly tell us what is the point of view and intent of the importer SC HONDA TRADING LLC ROMANIA to solve this most serious problem, while it is visibly clear to us that we no longer trust that the structure will resist corrosion for the remaining five years of warranty, the dealer provides no "buy-back" service at market value and the possibility of reselling the car in this state of depreciation is obviously very low.
We had an appointment at the dealer’s auto service yesterday for the car to be inspected by Honda’s technicians and, to our disappointment, we already received a verbal reply from HONDA TRADING ROMANIA that this level of corrosion is â€normal†for this type of car.
We refuse to accept that point of view because we have compared this CR-V to other cars our family members have (Skoda, BMW, Dacia) bought around the same period and none of them indicates any sign of corrosion.
From our perspective at this point the only possibility to solve this issue amiably is to replace this car with another one having the same year of production, number of kilometers and the same options (Executive).
Car had only one driver, for the entire period (Lawyer Valentin RACHITEANU)
