CarComplaints.com Notes: Honda redesigned the CR-V for the 2007 model year to kick off the 3rd-generation of the popular SUV. Unfortunately that redesign came with malfunctioning door locksand shoddy tires that wear out fast.
I bought the CRV on June7, 2016 without driving it on the interstate, boy do I regret it now. I just drove to work 53 miles one way and I had to stop and buy a cushion to sit on. My back was hurting by the time I got to work and the roads were in good repair, I would hate to drive on bumpy roads. Who ever designed these seats must have a lot of cushion in the rear end because I don't and it hurts like ####, well you know.
After loads of research, test drives and comparisons I decided my new vehicle would be the 2007 CR-V. It was much more money than I wanted to spend but figured it would be worth it because it was, after all, a Honda. The car felt great on the test drive (15-20 minutes) but my first long trip proved to be extremely uncomfortable. I find this car has terrible back support, especially lower back and after only 1 hour I was in a lot of pain. I've tried several lumbar pads as well as full seat cushions with massage and heat.
The car causes me so much pain and discomfort that I am now seeing a chiropractor on a regular basis. I am so disappointed, I love this car otherwise. If anyone is considering buying this vehicle I would suggest taking it for a long test drive or sitting in it for an extended period at least 1 hour. Maybe I should've gone for the Odyssey??!!
