About These NHTSA Complaints:
This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Today I had a 4th valve stem failure that has occurred on my 2006 Honda CRV that I purchased used on August 3, 2007. The 1st valve stem failure occurred on August 3, 2007 on the rear right tire. The 2nd valve stem failure occurred on October 10,2007 on the front right tire. The 3rd valve stem failure occurred on February 6, 2008 on the right rear tire again. The 4th valve stem failure occurred on June 18, 2008 on the left front tire. I found out today through an internet search that there has been a recall of some valve stems sure to failure. I do not know the odds of one car having four valve stem failures in less than one year, but I cam guess that this is highly unusual.
