i bought a Honda based on its reliability. I am very disappointed that the transmission failed at this mileage. Advice was to get rid of the car and not repair it because it is 9 years old, although low mileage of 79,000 for this age. I see many much older Honda CRVs on the road. Honda dealer wanted $4200 for repair. I went elsewhere for a second opinion, which agreed with Honda about the problem being the transmission pump. Will have it repaired for $2500-3000 at local garage with a two year warranty, which is cheaper and a better warranty than Honda offered. Still annoyed transmission went at this low mileage.
