Bought 4 new Goodyear assurance fuel max tires for my Honda CR-V in Aug 2012. Right after being put on, noticed little bulges in each tire on outside, but the tire company personnel claimed it was normal. After more time, it never went away and the tires began getting a larger bulge. My mechanic told me they seemed defective. I tried 3 X to get the tire store to replace them, they said they were ok...they loose air frequently, and make a terrible thumping sound when I drive. These are not good tires and I haven't even come close to the mileage warranty on these. I will now contact Goodyear directly after reading some of the similar complaints with these tires.
Yokohama car tires. Checking/cracking on all 4 tires. Tires are losing air because of cracking all the time. This is a safety issue! less than 35,000 mile wear on tires. Warranty is for 60,000 miles P205/70R15 95T. Other numbers on tires - S316 W4850L-2 and 8224010. Yokohama tire complains of cracking are reported numerous times on the web. An investigation needs to be pursued.
On April 11 2009 I purchased four new Bridgestone dueller H/T 684 tires for my 2004 Honda CRV. On April 23 I had R & M automotive in northridge, ca align the wheels on the CRV. R & M is my regular mechanic for this car. The mileage at that time was 83875. On November 26, 2009 I noticed exposed steel belts on the left rear tire and excessive wear on the other three tires. The car mileage was 92763. I was told this extreme tire wear was the result of improper alignment when I took the car to the store where I bought them. They did however note that it was unsafe to drive on the left rear tire and installed the spare tire. I then took the car to R & M where they checked the alignment and found nothing wrong. R& M thought it was unsafe to drive on the tires and offered to provide a rental. R& M replaced the tires at no cost. I still have the tires in my possession and I believe they were flawed from the manufacturer. I was extremely lucky that I discovered this situation before I was on the freeway. The tires had only 8,400 miles on them and I wasn't checking them because I thought they were good for another 30,000 miles. I have used these tires before and they performed well and I got 40-50,000 miles of wear.
The contact owns a 2004 Honda CRV. The vehicle has Goodyear viva-turing tires, size P205-70R15. While driving 60 mph, the front passenger side tire began to shake. Before she could move to the shoulder of the road, the tire came apart. The fender, door, and headlights were damaged, and the cables were loose. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and they stated that the front passenger side tire thread failed. The contact filed a complaint with Goodyear. Her insurance company will investigate and forward the tire to Goodyear. The failure and current mileages were 100,000.
