The rear hatch door lock does not engage with the key or remote fob. The key fits in the lock and turns to unlatch the window. This is a safety concern in that the car is not fully locked from intrusion.
Any suggestions on how to fix this on my own and where to purchase inexpensive, dependable parts will be greatly appreciated. I recently spent $700 for the driver door actuator and lever assembly (lock still not jambed), then $428 for ignition tumbler repair.
Update from Aug 19, 2018: Happened again at 228,000 miles. New lock smith replaced entire cylinder and pins. Said it was typical Honda problem, since the cylinder holes become slightly worn and allow pins more movement.
