NHTSA recall 20V-027. Honda has not remedied the defect within 60 days from the date I first contacted the dealer for a repair appointment. I first contacted Honda on 8-19-2020, and they had me take the car in on 10-24-2020 to take pictures. They indicated that they would call me back to have me come back in to do the repair, but each time that I call to check, they say "we will call you when we are ready." Today is 1-20-2021.

I looked up my VIN I'd to see it had a air bag recall. I then call my local Honda dealer to see when I could take vehicle in for the recall. They stated bring it ant time. I also received a 'safety recall notice' from Honda. On 10/27/2020 I took the vehicle to have the air bag replaced. As it turn out on the paper work when contacted to pick up the vehicle it stated 'air bag inspection complete'. I later called the dealer to find out that it was not replaced but only inspected. This was done by Honda spreen. Is inspection only correct or replacement correct. Should the recall have replaced the actual device. Does this recall cover both driver and passenger side air bag on this vehicle?

I received recall notice from Honda regarding the takata airbag in March 2020. I called Honda and they told me that the airbags were on back order. They gave me a case number 10300044. And to call back in a few months. I called Honda at 1-888-234-2138 in July 2020. They again told me no airbags were available and that I would be getting a follow up letter. Called again in August. Still nothing from Honda on this recall. They have been ignoring me.

According to this website: "safety risk in the event of a crash necessitating air bag deployment, an inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants. An underinflated air bag cushion may not properly protect the occupant. These scenarios increase the risk of serious injury or death." And, "Honda will notify owners in an interim notification that the parts necessary to repair their vehicles are currently not available."

I received a recall notice in the mail from Honda in February of 2020. The recall notice states that my 2001 Honda CRV is unsafe to drive. I have been in contact with Honda since March 9, 2020 and they have not offered a solution, updates, or information concerning this. I have been told by two employees that the part to fix this issue is not available and is no longer manufactured at this time. One employee went so far as to tell me that it is not an issue and my vehicle is not unsafe. This is untrue. The recall notice states, "due to a manufacturing issue, the inflator inside the driver frontal airbag module may absorb moisture, which may cause the driver frontal airbag to malfunction in a crash where the airbag deploys. The airbag could under-inflate during deployment, increasing the risk of injury to the driver. The airbag inflator could also rupture during deployment, with metal fragments possibly striking the driver or passengers, increasing the risk of serious injury or death." They also refuse to give a deadline for this issue to be resolved by. I am writing this complaint as of August 8,2020 whilst sitting here with Honda on the phone.
