The contact owns a 2000 Honda CR-V. while driving 30 mph, the check engine warning light illuminated and the vehicle stalled. The failure recurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the muffler, and radiator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 184,000. Updated 04/29/16
Vehicle was beginning to overheat, and consumer decided to inspect the radiator to find numerous pin holes. The pin holes were causing vehicle to overheat on a regular basis.
