A couple of month after we drove our new 2018 Accord Hybrid Touring off the lot, we started to hear a roaring noise. Took it to the dealer, and then after multiple trips, we went with a drive with them to show them how to duplicate the noise. It happens in cold weather at 52 MPH. The issue can be repeated over and over at this speed and lower speeds.
As I said, the dealers mechanics and service shop manager have heard the noise. Multiple trips to dealer and years down the road Honda says they believe the problem is in the ANC (automatic noise canceling) unit. After our last visit to the dealer to fix the problem, we were told Honda is aware of the issue and working on a fix - "don't call us again we will call you."
At this point, I'm no longer holding my breath for Honda to fix. I agree with them its most likely a software issue in the ANC but its very annoying and an aggravation that Honda hasn't taken further steps to fix our and many others (there a Accord forum on the web where owners across the country in colder climate state have complained about this issue). I think Honda has swept this issue under the rug and hopes it goes just away.....
