The bottom part of the seat measures 11 inches in the back between the side risers. The front of the seat measures 13 3/4 inches between the side risers. The side risers are too stiff which causes pain in my upper thigh. I purchased the car (Touring model) for long trips. It is very uncomfortable to drive long distances. I have not discussed the problem the dealership yet. I am looking for a seat insert that will raise the bottom of the seat to be near the top of the side risers. The seat bottom is also very hard. This may be due to the fact that it is air conditioned as well as heated.
Other than the seat issue, I like the car.
