Had less than 1,000 miles on the car when the windshield grew a 18" crack from the windshield's edge without any easily apparent pebble strikes. Put the car in the garage at night with no crack visible. Came out in the morning with a 18" crack across the drivers side. Total cost for the job over $1400 and a lot of wasted time on my part. Insurance paid for most of it, but still something is not right here. Some poor engineering one way or another.
PS: Update. Now with less than 4,000 miles on the car the windshield has again cracked from the edge inward. This time from the passenger's side (but in the same area as from the previous driver's side crack). This is a Honda engineering problem. Either the material used is inappropriate or defective, or Honda's manufacturing process have a problem. Will file another complaint with carcomplaints.com and others.
