The contact owns a 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the contact became aware of an abnormal burning odor. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced engine hesitation while driving. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle had failed to start and was jumpstarted. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the battery, the emission system, the throttle body needed to be replaced, and coolant needed to be added. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
The contact owns a 2017 Honda Accord hybrid. While operating the vehicle, the "braking system failure" message was displayed and the vehicle would not immediately stop when pressing the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to white plains Honda (16 bank St, white plains, NY) where it was diagnosed that the tandem motor cylinder was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 70,000.
Sometimes the car starts when I use the push to start button most times it doesn't. I have a to carry a portable battery so I won't get stuck at whatever destination I arrive. I had the battery checked. Nothing is wrong with battery
