The -??Reduced Engine Power-?? warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that he veered to the side of the road and turned off the vehicle to allow the engine to cool down. The contact was able to restart the vehicle multiple times. The contact stated that upon research, he referenced that the vehicle was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V602000 (Hybrid Propulsion System). The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 260,000.

While attempting to restart the vehicle the message "High Temp Power Reduced" was displayed. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who diagnosed that the Power Control Unit had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V602000 (Hybrid Propulsion System). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the same failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 150,000.
