The contact owns a 2014 Honda Accord hybrid. The contact stated that there was a constant loss of electrical power, which shorted the battery function. A red warning indicator illuminated "12 volts" and to service the battery. The dealer (sullivan Honda, 45 migeon ave, torrington, ct 06790, (860) 496-0077) stated that the vehicle was excluded from NHTSA campaign number: 17V418000 (electrical system) and that the battery sensor needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle exhibited the same failure as listed in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, provided no remedy, and also stated that the vehicle was excluded from the recall. The failure mileage was not available.
Though there is plenty of fuel in the tank, petrol engine got cutoff while driving and all kinds of electrical errors started appearing on the dashboard. Eventually battery (electric) propulsion also turned off.
The car will will randomly lose connection with the key less remote. This happened a dozen times and the dealership has been unable to fix the issue. This occurs most often when the car is on and stopped and the passenger gets out of the car; however, the car also lost connection with the key less remote while driving through the city.
