Did not know about the problem until I opened the trunk after a rain storm. Water rushed down the trunk lid supports on both sides to the tune of about a half a cup on each side. I had a box of stuff in the trunk that got soaked! Luckily, I had a hand towel that I could use to mop up the water and wring it out on the ground. If I hadn't had the rubber trunk floor protection, the carpet would have been soaked and may have caused mildew or a rusted trunk floor. Don't know how it might have affected the hybrid batteries that are in the trunk!
