The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving at 25 MPH, the front driver's side air bag, the front passenger's side air bag, and the knee air bags were deployed unintendedly. Additionally, there was a significant amount of chemical smoke inside the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that she depressed the brake pedal to stop and exit the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to respond. The contact stated that the vehicle rolled for 30-40 seconds and stopped after hitting a bicycle pole. The contact stated that the front passenger's side seat was occupied by an adult and the rear seats were occupied by an adult and a baby in the car seat when the failure occurred. The passengers sustained body aches and ringing ears but did not seek medical assistance. The contact stated that she parked the vehicle, and then all the passengers and she exited the vehicle for a moment. No police report was filed. The contact then drove to the residence. The vehicle was towed to the dealer to be diagnosed and repaired under warranty; however, the dealer informed the contact that they would not service the vehicle under warranty because they believed the air bags deployed due to an impact. The dealer then towed the vehicle to an autobody repair shop. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V064000(Air Bags), which she related to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was unknown.

The ANC module malfunctions already at only 67000 miles and causes a humming noise which is very annoying when driving. The ebreak also malfunctions during cold weather conditions. I have had to restart the car due to the electronic parking break not working properly. In case of an emergency I might need it and it may malfunction.

I received a recall notice that there is a safety recall on my vehicle for a circuit board under the PASSENGER seat. Manufacturer Recall #XHP, NHTSA recall number 24V064. I utilize my vehicle to provide a source of income. My local dealership informed me after I called them that there was currently no remedy to the problem. This is a major inconvenience that now I can no longer make the extra income I need. Does this problem affect my vehicle as a whole" Is this really a safety problem" I need documentation stating this is not a SAFETY recall, thank you.

The contact's father owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated that following a short drive, the vehicle was parked on the street. The contact said that neighbors tried to alert him that the vehicle was on fire. The contact is hearing impaired and did not hear his neighbors knocking on his door. The fire department was called by a third party and extinguished the flames. The contact stated that the fire department left a note on her father's front door explaining that the fire had started under the driver's side front tire wheel well, then proceeded down the driver's side and was extinguished using water by the driver's side rear wheel well. The right passenger side of the vehicle was not damaged by the fire. There were no injuries. The fire department wrote a report and determined that the fire was an electrical system failure. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic. The manufacturer was not informed. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 7,000.

This is the third Accord I've owned, and none of them have been issue-free, but this one (2020) is the worst. I bought this car in March of 2021 with only 6 miles on it. Within a week it started to throw occasional notifications, which I called the dealership and asked about. They assured me that it was just a hiccup and to bring it in for a factory reset. They performed this reset, and the car appeared to be fine after that. BUT - Less than two weeks later, it started showing the four LKAS/CMBS lights and dash prompts - brake system problem, road departure mitigation system, collision mitigation braking system, and adaptive cruise control system 'problems', each saying 'see your dealer'. Made an appointment to bring it back in, and on my way to the dealership - having the car for only one month at this point - I was rear-ended by a pick-up truck at the red light turning onto the dealership street (he admitted he wasn't paying attention). Long story short, the car was repaired, Honda factory specs were (supposedly) restored, set and verified, and my car was returned to me. It was fine until about another month later, when it started to show the alerts again - more frequently than before. Contacted the dealer again, asked for troubleshooting assistance again, and they said they were booked. I took this time to look for this issue on-line, and found many incidents of other Accord owners experiencing these same issues plus several others (of which I also had a few - namely, the fuel delivery system frequently acting like it is running out of gas) - most saying no matter how long the service shop had their car, the issue did not get fixed. NOT ONE. I could not afford to be without my car for an extended period of time, so I continued my research, seeing that none of the owners got resolution by the dealers, so I resolved to just 'live with the issues' as the actual car drove fine (except for the fuel issue). It happens every day.

I am writing this letter to complaint about a major defect for my vehicle as the Honda dealership located at 1036 Jericho Turnpike, Huntington NY doesn-??t want to resolve as the vehicle is still under the manufactory warranty. The defect / problem involves the emergency brake release switch located in the center console area. I reported the defect / problem and hoped that Honda would honor the manufactory warranty under 36, 000 mile policy to replace an or repair any defects without cost to the consumer. However I was informed that payment in the amount of seven hundred and fifty dollars would be needed to resolve / repair the problem/ defect. I was told that the clip that hold the switch/ device to the center comnsole were broken and it is the current owner problem to resolve as it not covered. Just imagine how could I be responsible for a broken clip, when you look at the picture its clearly not a owner error but rather a defect in the workmanship to properly secure switch to the console. I want Honda to honor the under 36, 000 mile manufactory warranty policy and fix this problem without having me as a consumer to pay. Attached are the pictures of the emergency switch resisting inside the center console as no visible damage to the supporting outside structure.

Without driver intervention, the vehicle engaged the brakes. Threw both passengers forward until the seat belt restraints engaged. Bruising both passengers shoulders. The vehicle would not respond to either pedal - brake or gas for a few seconds. There was no visible traffic in front of us. The day was clear. And no construction or overpasses. The vehicle was taken into a certified Honda dealer and inspected. No -??flags-?? or diagnostic issues found. The car was driven by the dealer. The issue wouldn-??t reproduce. The dealer stated that they did find a large -??smashed-?? bug on one sensor and wondered if it could have caused the issue. Prior to the vehicle initiating the panic stop, no indications of a event were posted on any device in the vehicle

I was driving yesterday accordingly to the speed limit on a main city street. There were no cars in front of me AT ALL when all of a sudden my car hit the breaks 3 times back to back out of nowhere causing my car to swerve! I felt completely out of control of my vehicle and I am so thankful I wasn't on the highway and that no one was near me! I first noticed issues with the breaking system, previously on 3 other occasions throughout my time of owning/leasing the vehicle. 3 other occasions before receiving an alert on the screen that read "the brake system has a problem. Avoid high speeds and sudden braking. Have your vehicle checked by a dealer immediately." That was February 13, 2022. I called immediately to take my car in and was told I would have to pay out of pocket to have this issue addressed which seems outrageous to me since it is something that I have no control over. So without the ability to pay such a high fee for a vehicle that I thought would keep me safe, I took it to a local auto shop and had my brakes checked while I had my routine maintenance done. I was told everything was fine, which in my opinion indicates it is at fault of the manufacturers.. I don't want to die before something is done. There have been many claims about the same thing happening. I'm truly shocked there hasn't been a recall due to this issue.

While driving at highway speeds (50 -55mph), the ANC (active noise control) unit delivers a loud Booming sound through the speaker system. The sudden and unexpected booming noise startled the driver causing temporary loss of control of the vehicle. The solution has already been identified in a Service Bulletin from Honda as Service Bulletin 21-053. The ANC unit has incorrect software and requires replacement to fix and eliminate the safety hazard. The issue was noted June 29th, 2021; but, has not been escalated as a Safety Recall. I have replaced the ANC as directed by the Service Bulletin and it has resolved the problem; however, other Honda vehicles have this same safety issue and if not Recalled will continue to be a safety concern for all drivers on our highway. I would like to see this escalated to a Safety Recall level and customers notified to replace. I am disappointed that Honda has not proactively Recalled this.

While early driving in early December 2021 in my almost new car (7000+ miles) most all the lighted problems that could occur with an old vehicle lit up like a Christmas tree on the dashboard. Most of the items may or may not have actually quit working but their problem lights stayed on. Still it is no fun driving without cruise when your wife has breast cancer and you have have to drive 3 hours each way to Gainesville, Florida for treatment. I assume all the warning lights functions still worked, but it is hard to tell if things like the brakes were pr were not working when driving as they seemed to work fine. So I soon afterwards took the car into the dealer on December 11, 2021 in Leesburg, Florida. But by this time all the dash lights remained off as they are supposed to. So all they did was change the oil and did non-compliance recall BMC software update 20-039 and BGCM software update. The reason I brought the car in was not specified on my invoice. However, The dealer did say that my transponder for the EZ highway system was blocking the camera on the mirror. I believed them. Since then, however, today all the cash lights again said they were crashing again just before a 2-hour drive to the Gainesville cancer hospital. Upon return the lights went back to normal. I don't believe Honda dealers know what the problem is or why it continues in many millions of similar Hondas. My research on the Internet found at different complaints about said dashboard lights crashing causing similar problems. Most of these complaints had the dealers fix "the problem" and charging fees but again the customers reported do-over same problems.

A loud booming / vibrating noise from the speakers while traveling between 52 & 54 mph with windows closed. Sound starts as a low noise / vibration and escalates to its maximum before abruptly ceasing. Noise / Vibration first noticed when taking car home after initial delivery 3/28/2020. Vehicle use was minimal (due to COVID shutdowns) and noise not noticed again until late fall / early winter of 2020. Vehicle was taken to dealer at regular service interval in February 2021 and problem was evaluated at that time. Vehicle has been evaluated once and microphone for Noice Cancelling system replaced. Issue subsequently returned. Vehicle going for second repair.

I leased my vehicle a year ago, I had electrical issues with my old car so I wanted a brand new car that was reliable and safe for me and my children. In the first months the car was fine but after about 4 months the car would smoke from the exhaust pipes randomly. I took it for maintenance as the car system directed but the repair shop never said there was anything wrong with the exhaust system. A month or so past and one day I got in the car and all the lights on the dash board were in. I was so freaked out because it was a new car and no warning lights should of been on. I took it to Honda repair services and they found out that a mouse went in my engine and chewed some of the electrical wires. The cost of the repair was 1700 which is extremely outrageous prices to me. Anyway I was at hospital at work and I got the call from the mechanic saying I would have to pay out of pocket because it wasn't a factory default. So I went home and did some researching and I found out Honda had been using soybean it peanut butter oil to lube the wiring, and that's what attracts rodents to your engine. It also started that Honda wire protection tape was out of stock because some many customers had there car wires eaten by rodents. So I was so pissed off that I called Honda corporate and they told me there is nothing they can do. I feel as though this is a big safety issue, why would Honda put parts or use oils in the car engine that attracts rodents. This to me is, unfair to honest hard working customers that pay Honda there money expecting to have a safe and reliable vehicle.now I just found out there is a recall on the vehicle because the car started smoking out the exhaust pipes once again. I am very disappointed in Honda.
