The vehicle was then taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the head gasket and intake manifold failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken back to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the head gasket and intake manifold had not failed, but the contact was informed that the fuel pump failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced the NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V314000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The manufacturer was notified of the failure by the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 126,000.
