The problem started earlier in December last year. When I accelerate, the engine noise starts coming either from center of dashboard or behind the steering wheel. Conditions: engine warmed up, rpm exactly in between 1-2k and speed below 40mph. I can certainly repeat it consistently. Comes even more if you are turning the steering wheel.
Took it to the dealer and was told that this is normal. Like that's it, if this is normal, it should have originated when I bought it earlier in July 2019. Dealer said they are aware of the problem, but currently there is no fix. The noise is so irritating that I always accelerate hard past 2k, so that I don't hear it.
