The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the vehicle's software was updated per NHTSA campaign number: 18V629000 (back over prevention, visibility). After the software was reprogrammed, there was a five second delay in which the back up camera rebooted and the system display was inoperable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Heritage Honda of bel air (located at 1800 belair rd, fallston, md 21047, (410) 343-5644) was informed of the failure. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 7,000.
