It's frustrating after going to the dealer 2x and still can come up to a solution many people have.

Accord Touring 1.5t

  • Automatic transmission
  • 68,754 miles

1st occurrence 1/30/2021 mileage 68754 issue Alerts Electrical Power Steering System Problem, Emission System Problem, Road Departure Mitigation, Collision Mitigation, ACC Adaptive Cruise Control, Electric Power Steering System, Hill Start Asist Problem Vehicle May Roll Upon Brake Release, Vehicle Stability Assist System Problem. Dealer disconnected the battery and cleared the codes and said "Everything is fine now" Car at the dealer from 02/03 - 02/05/2021.

2nd occurrence (3 weeks later) 02/27/2021 same issue as above this time the dealer lost my car and I had to wait for them to find it to call me back and I was told that it was my fault for not having the maintenance done so the dealer performed the 100,000 mileage maintenance and said it's fine and they changed spark plugs and whatever else that comes with that package. Car at the dealer from 03/01 - 03/06/2021.

3rd occurrence (3 weeks later) 03/26/2021 mileage 69718 (60 days from the 1st issue) the same electrical issue as above. Just dropped the vehicle off and told them that they sold me a lemon. They dealer doesn't understand what the issue is and said that they'll need to change something else and put mileage on the car to see if it comes up again. I was told that after the 3rd time they may have to get Honda Corporation involved for resolution.

Total mileage in 60 days was 964

problem #3

Jun 292020

Accord LX I4

  • CVT transmission
  • 4,080 miles

Evening before problem started it was a heavy rain in NYC. Morning I started the car and was immediately received 4 messages: "LKAS: lane keeping assist system problem. See your dealer.". "road departure mitigation system problem. See your dealer.", "blind spot information system problem. See your dealer.", "auto high beam problem. Manual controls available. See your dealer.". Turn signals did not work. Hazard lights did not work. Trunk release did not work. Backup camera did not work. Moved to dealer (25 minutes away). But did not start the service. After turning off and start the car again all displayed failures were gone. Waiting for the next heavy rain.

Cruise control, LKAS, and collision mitigation system not working due to a defective camera (next to the rear view mirror). It took the dealer nearly a month to fix as the part was on back order.
