My Accord is barely 3 years old and just hit 21,000 miles. The brake pedal has to be pushed down to the floor and strains to work. I brought into an independent shop which told me it needs new pads and new rotors since the rotors were worn down. Estimated repair cost with brake flush over $600. This is unacceptable for a newer car. I am awaiting and appointment with the dealer to confirm the problem, solution and cost but for now am not driving the car since the shop advised it may be unsafe to do so.
Having rear brakes pads wearing out every 15,000 miles is simply bad design - one pad is gone completely other one is 75 percent. Wearing on both two wheel. I'm hoping for Honda to design better calibers
Braking is is incredibly annoying. Slight pressure on the pedal has barely any affect on stopping, more pressure causes a "step" in the braking causing lurching and jerking. You really have to feather the pedal to come to a somewhat awkward smoothish stop. Seeing other complaints that are similar, I'll be contacting my dealer ASAP!
