My 2017 Honda Accord (V-6) had no electrical power on 9-17-2017. There were 800+ miles on the car. The car's electrical system was dead; no sign of electrical power at all. The car was towed (at Honda's expense) to a dealer, not the dealer where I purchased the car. The dealer "cleared battery codes" and then could find notheing wrong with the car. I have not experienced any problems since with the car which now has 1,134 miles on

When first drove new car off lot (0 miles) 9/2016 and many times over several months later to (7K mi) 8/2017, car tire pressure light continues to come on while driving in city and highway traffic. Dealer claims tires not part of car warranty. Replaced tire, light still comes on. Distracting and annoying...don't know if tires properly inflated. Uncomfortable seating and head rest (driver's seat).

Accord

  • 1,200 miles
On the night on July 3, 2017 the 2017 Honda Accord which was only 5 weeks old was parked in the driveway of my house. The car was in park and the motor was turned off. You would not be able to remove the key unless the car was in park. The car that was parked in front of the Honda Accord went to back out without realizing a car was behind it. The other vehicle involved was a Kia optima. The Kia optima lightly bumped the Honda Accord and stopped as soon as it realized the Honda was behind it. There was no damage to the front of the Honda Accord or to the back of the Kia optima. The Honda Accord was parked on a flat surface at the time. When the Kia hit the Honda the Honda rolled down the driveway and hit a light pole. The entire light pole crashed down and broke. At first I thought that this was impossible until I saw my neighbor's video footage of the incident. We contacted Honda service department and of course at first they thought that was impossible until they saw the video. After a few days Honda got corporate tech support involved and was told not to release the car back to me until they found out what was wrong. After about a week Honda told me that they were unable to duplicate the problem but as a "precautionary measure" they were going to replace the transmission. They did replace the transmission but said they would not pay for the damage to the back of the Honda or the light pole. I feel that they should be responsible for the damage to the car and the light pole. A car that is lightly bumped should not roll away. It could have been much worse had a child been behind the car or the light pole could have crashed onto something. I feel like they found something wrong with the transmission and are covering up for it otherwise if they truly found nothing wrong with the transmission then why did they replace it in the first place.

2017 Accord LX * automatic transmission * 3000 miles I have new Accord LX and the I drove it on the highway, my wife and I noticed wind noise coming from the driver side door panel. Brand new 2017 Honda Accord sport 2500 miles. Air started blowing hot. Took it to the Honda dealership. I was told that a rock has hit my condenser causing a leak and it would not be covered under warranty. I drive mostly interstate and I do not see how this could have happened so soon unless I hit a boulder or something. I have a 09 Accord that I have never had any problems with

The car tempts to shake and when put on drive the car won't move forward passing 20 mph. When the car os placed on reverse the car won't go back and even though I press the accelerator it struggles to go back. This has been doing it for three times already for the past 2 months. I bought this car on June 2017. This car started failing within a month.

The head restraints in the Honda Accord (2017) are so uncomfortable and forward-leaning that they cause drivers and passengers to drive in a "chin down" position. This is causing musculoskeletal issues that will likely require attention and treatment in the near and distant future.

Collision detection system falsely goes off on a regular basis due to opposing traffic. Slams brakes to floor, overriding accelerator- has happened in the middle of an intersection twice and on a two way straightaway with no vehicle in my lane. I've had the car for 1 month and almost been in 3 accidents due to this faulty system which I am now deactivating. I've driven vehicles with these before (Ford) and it never went off like this- the system is defective and dangerous.

My new Accord with a V6 engine likes to engine brake by itself. As a result it will not coast and makes braking unpredictable and very tiring, especially when doing city driving that involves stop signs and red lights. When in medium traffic between 25 and 40 mph you can feel it downshifting every time. When coming to a corner and making the right turn car jerks as it downshifts or upshifts. I have taken this car to a Honda dealership twice on 6/23/17 and on 6/26/17 and they felt what I was describing both times and dismissed it as normal. The case manager I complained to also dismissed it as normal while treating my concern as nothing but a typical complaint including when I told him that my neck jerked one time as a result of the rough shifting. There are multiple companies online about this exact same issue for the 9th generation Accord and even older models, all with the V6 engine. For reference I had the exact same issue on an 05 Accord V6 on which the same dealer felt the issue and said it was because of bad engine mounts. I had those replaced and the issue persisted and when I took it in again they called it normal operation of the transmission at this point (really?!!). when the issue got worse I took it in to a local certified shop in valparaiso in (other times were in Chicago) at 59,000 miles at they replaced it with a brand new trans from Honda. The issue never went away. My mechanic who drove the old car and test drove the new one called this completely abnormal. This guy has 40 years experience with vehicles ranging from Toyota to Mercedes and a whole neighborhood who will vouch for how good he is. I am taking the new Accord in one more time tomorrow (6/28/17) to the dealer of origin but I am guessing the same answer will arise. Please help me with this. This engine braking is not normal.

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

My 2017 Honda Accord touring has unintended breaking once the gas pedal is released, rather than slowing down to a stop it abruptly applies the breaks on its on without any car in sight (therefore it has nothing to do with safety feature) whether I am driving on a flat even surface road, up or down a hill. In order to prevent or minimize the unexpected breaking I am having to apply the gas to maintain a constant velocity before applying the brakes. Even if I am going 40,30, 25 mphs and I apply the brakes to gradually come to a stop the car is still stopping abruptly on its own with its unannounced braking as it goes from 40 to 30 and so forth and overriding my application off applying the brakes. And to be clear it has nothing to do with the level of pressure applied or not applied on the brakes, etc. There is also a noise that I have picked up each time it brakes. Not to mention that I have also driven a similar year make and model of the new car I purchased and this did not occur, so it's definitely an issue with my car (whether its software related, etc.). in addition to this I have noticed that the rpms when the car is idling while on park or with my foot on the brake is higher than normal (over 750rpms, when it should be no more than 500rpms when idling), which might explain why the car is jolting on its own when I release my foot off the brake without applying the gas. When a car is driven at a speed of 40mps, etc mphs and you release your foot off the gas pedal the car is supposed to decelerate slowly on its own, not go through moments where it applies hard braking then resumes gradual deceleration to then again stop abruptly, which is what this car is constantly doing. Not to mention that even maintaining cruising speed (whether 25, 40 65) in the car doesn't seem to hold the speed at a constant rate, it either decides to speed up or decelerate on its own.

Sunroof on Accord exploded while driving. The edges of the shards were pointing upwards. Dealer is saying that we were hit by something and is not covered under warranty. Nothing hit me while driving, heard a loud explosion with glass raining down and the roof and trunk lid are visibly scratched from the glass. I've had the car for only 2 weeks when this occurred.

I bought 2017 Honda Accord and within a day there were 2 air bag signs came up. Called dealership and they said whenever you come this side bring the car. They checked the car that weekend and found a faulty SRS module. They replaced it, but how a new car have a faulty SRS module" how quality control dept. Stamped it without checking it? what if something would have happened to me"
