Thanksgiving 2019. The wife and I got in the Accord, backed out of the driveway and heard a squeak noise exiting the driveway coming from the rear of the car. We usually have the radio on, but this day we were talking and just happened to notice the squeak which is not very severe but can be heard and very annoying for a new car. We continued to listen and every bump we hit, we hear the squeaking noise. I checked the spare tire area in the trunk, tightened the securing nut for the spare, moved the styrofoam spare tire tool holder around, checked for anything that could be rubbing and found nothing. Suspect bushings from shocks, sway bars, or control arms don't like cold weather or starting to wear because it is a stiff suspension (Sport Model). Needs to be checked by dealer soon. Nothing loose under the car, everything is intact and secure.
Update from Feb 14, 2020: To rule out the noise and possibility of the cause being the spare tire and styrofoam jack holder, I have removed the spare tire and styrofoam jack holder from the trunk. I drove around on the road a few miles where the noise usually occurs in and around my neighborhood. With the spare tire and Styrofoam jack/tool holder removed from the trunk, the noise still exists. The squeak noise when going over bumps is still present. Definitely not the spare tire or styrofoam jack holder.
Update from Feb 17, 2020: FINAL UPDATE:
SQUEAKING NOISE REAR OF VEHICLE: Local Honda Dealer during inspection found a bungee cord that was wrapped around the LEFT rear strut and wedged between the strut and vehicle body causing squeaking noise when going over bumps. Dealer removed bungee cord and the sound is no longer present. No suspension faults found.
POPPING/CRUNCHING NOISE FRONT SUSPENSION: Popping/crunching noise is caused from the brake pads grabbing the brake rotor while moving in reverse backing out of driveway. Vehicle parked on an incline causing brakes to be applied while backing out of driveway which makes normal brake noise. No suspension or steering faults found.
