The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 37,000.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The mechanic determined there was a failure with the rear main seal, causing fluid to slowly leak out from the rear main seal. The vehicle was then taken to a second independent mechanic who confirmed the diagnostic test result. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 93,500.
