First noticed a grinding or rubbing noise and took car to dealership. Was told by 1st dealership it was a problem with low profile tires and wait until I get new tires and don't choose the same kind that comes on car. Didn't agree with this answer and contacted Honda Corporation. They told me to take car to another dealership and pay for another diagnostic test because it was no longer on warranty. What do you do? You have a fairly new car making a horrible noise. Visited 2nd dealership and was told that glaze is getting on rotors but rotors and bake pads are still good and brakes are good. They can clean the glaze off rotors for $250.00 and go from there. Honda corporation agreed with them so if I want to try and get rid of the rubbing or grinding noise, I have to pay this money and let them do the work with no guarantee this will work.
An independent mechanic shop told us it is the wheel bearings that are bad but it should.be covered under the power train warranty but Honda corporation does not want to say that because then they would have to pay for the problem. I am sure other Honda Accord Sport owners are experiencing the same issue or they will experience it after the car is no longer under warranty. Honda will not admit a defect with this issue and I will not purchase my third Honda or recommend a Honda to anyone after all of this.
