The trunk is closed and nothing will open it. Tried the remote. I can hear the actuator working, but the latch that holds the trunk lid won't release. Tried the manual release but that doesn't work either. I tried jerking the the trunk lid as I am pressing the remote but that wouldn't do it.
The trunk is made like a fortress. You can't get into it. The back seat backs are only released from inside the trunk. Honda designed a very secure trunk but they didn't count on the lock latch failing.
The dealership wants close to $160 to just diagnose it. Then they will charge you for fixing it.
