I purchased my car in cloudy conditions, unable to really notice the issues with the paint until after after washing it a week later on a sunny day. The car has lots of debris embedded in the paint in different areas. Several of the spots are simple grains of sand (annoying but hardly worth mentioning). Several areas I was able to polish the bumps out of the paint using Meguiar's polish and foam pads. On one of the rear quarter panels the car picked up some larger debris during the paint process. An attempt by the dealer to have the area sanded down was not successful as the debris was embedded in the base layer the paint and full removal requires sanding down to the plastic and re-paint (which was not offered by dealer as a fix).
Update from Jun 30, 2016: Update: More issues with the paint. The paint on the hood of the car has developed many microbubbles. These bubbles are very small (varying in size but up to 1/18" diameter). There are currently at least 20-30 bubbles but I expect that number will grow. So far the microbubble issue has been limited to the hood of the car.
Also, the previous issue I had with the debris was attempted to be fixed by the Honda and the dealer by sending it to their body shop partner for a quick bumper respray. The work done was extremely poor and the debris areas still visible. The body shop also scratched the car in several spots while working on it.
So basically, I tried to get a simple issue with the debris in the paint fixed and it was a total nightmare. There is no way I am going to even contact them about getting the hood fixed. I was looking forward to maintaining my car but these issues have taken all the enjoyment out of detailing my new car.
