CarComplaints.com Notes: Some people think the seats in the 2015 Accord are uncomfortable, which is a problem that has plagued the Accord since 2008.
However our opinion is the seats have gotten better, & aside from that issue, the 2015 model year seems relatively trouble free.

So this is a conclusion post to my whole ordeal with this car to pin point the last major problem and me getting rid of this car because I’ve had enough. So I had just changed the after market starter for another after market starter the week prior. It was under warranty and I wanted to see if my misfiring and loss of power steering would re occur with new starter. This was a problem that I’ve got different opinions on and no one was confident that they could fix the problem.
The dealership wanted to change out the entire wire harness and crankshaft sensor, but they also could not guarantee that this would fix the problem long term. I wanted to trade in the car after I got the starter fixed, but I also researched other owners who stated they believed it was the aftermarket starter causing interference to the Crankshaft sensor because of placement of the starter (civil action lawsuit against Honda for premature starter failure because of location design). The problem did not re occur for the week that I had it after replacing starter, but another problem came up with catalytic convertor. Took the car after check engine light came on to two different places and both said I needed to replace CC along with both 02 sensors. Plus, I still needed to change the valve cover gasket too. I was quoted 2300 for CC and sensors alone. I was done. After going through two weeks of uncertainty, not having a reliable car and looking at a total of 5,400 dollars expense to fix something that may or may not re occur. I was done. All problems that went out prematurely.
I have a 15 year Toyota with 260k miles and never had to change wire harness, crankshaft sensor, catalytic convertor, has never leaked, and starter lasted to 170k miles. So I am spoiled with reliable vehicles as traditionally I only buy Toyota. So I was not used to this at all. I said no freakin way. I am not going to pay 5400 to fix premature problems likely because of Honda engineering design and sensitivity to after market parts. No, I might as well trade this problem in for a new Toyota. That is exactly what I did. I traded it in for a new Toyota Tacoma. Read my other posts because I couldn’t put all the problems on one post. This car was a nightmare and cost me so much time and even employment because boss couldn’t deal with me being sporadic at work because of an unreliable car always in the shop just for techs to tell me that they can’t find anything or we’ll try this expensive fix in hopes of solving your problems.
No thanks Honda. I am not paying for your engineering design flaws. I cut my losses and got rid of this nightmare. I will never ever ever ever detour myself again from buying anything not Toyota. Yes, they have their problems too. But not like this. I might as well have got a Ford or Chevy. I love their look and aesthetics but hate their reliability. However, compared to this POS Honda, I might as well had bought what looks cool and dealt with the reliability issues cause I was dealing with it anyways with Honda.
